Writing: a poster for a tourist information centre, history quiz, an article about a country as a holiday destination: Place, Location, Features; People (Look, Character); Dwelling; Food; Free-time Activities; Comments about the Country.

Topics for discussion:

1. Holidays in Great Britain. Holidays in the USA. What similar holidays are there in the both countries? Which of the customs do you find worth mentioning?
2. The United States of America, key facts: the country that owns the world – do you agree? Positive and negative sides of the American way of life.
3. Milestones of American history. The American nation. Is the United States a melting pot? If yes, prove it. Can you suggest another name for this very phenomenon? Speak on the American values vs. Ukrainian values.
